what to wear for boudoir shoots
Before coming to your boudoir photo shoot, be sure to wear loose clothing so you don’t have lines or marks indented in your skin. That includes tight fitting underwear – those things can leave marks and you don’t want them showing in your photos.
(You’re wondering about photoshopping out the unwanted bra or panty lines, right? Yes, I can photoshop almost anything, but photoshopping actually takes hours of work, so the idea is to avoid photoshopping whenever possible. I will take care of little blemishes like that unexpected zit, but for any “blemishes” that are avoidable such as lines from tight underwear or clothing, there is an extra charge for that. Sorry, but I'm a business person after all and have to mind the profit margin!)
What should you wear for a boudoir shoot? Here are some ideas, pick what feels best :
- Lovely lingerie, as you might get from Victoria’s Secret or another boutique.
- A fun teddy or sexy negligee.
- A man’s white dress shirt or uniform shirt with high heels.
- A sports jersey or cheerleader outfit.
- Almost anything lacy or sheer.
- A corset, cincher or bustier.
- Almost anything with an animal print.
- High heels and fishnet stockings.
- A cool biker’s jacket.
- Pearls, feathers, boas or ribbons.
- Swim wear or a slinky cover-up.
- Vintage apparel and props for a pin-up or old Hollywood look.
- A costume – check out Party City for all kinds of things!
- Latex or leather, if you’re into that sort of thing.
- Draped in a silk sheet (I can provide those)
- Heck – skin and nothing else! (I don’t mind if you don’t!)
