restoration & correction

It's inevitable that paper photographs are damaged, torn, or simply deteriorate from age. Or maybe that photo just didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. Now it's easier than ever to restore or correct a photo. Below are of photos I've restored or corrected that date from the mid to late-1800's to the present. You can see enlarged versions of several images by clicking on them.

The original black & white image had a fold that had begun tearing and is stained on the right side.

Faded photo with creases and some light stains (yes, this is my first grade picture).

The original photo of this lovely little lady was way too dark, so she had to be lightened while keeping the background and shadows dark .

Very old photo that's faded and stained, but good details could still be salvaged.

Original still had good contrast, but was heavily spotted. The final was also colorized.

This project presenteda particularly challenging restoration. Obviously the original was in fairly poor condition, including ink numbers over some of the figures, which I removed in the final product. Enlarge either image by clicking on it.
